Zoo Trip!

Now, with our cool fall weather arriving it's time to pull out our zoo membership and go see the animals! That's what Mama and the girlies did this morning :) We got to see lots of animals, especially the Koalas that are brand new to our zoo. The Koalas are too cute :) Then, we took a Kettle Corn snack break (homemade from Mama, as a treat for the girlies) and afterward checked out the farm animals. Us 5 girls had a good morning! Here are some pics of our trip!

Zebras. Our church's nursery walls are decorated with life-size animals like Zebras and Giraffes. The girlies ALWAYS say "hi!" to the Zebra down the hall from their church nursery room :) So they KNOW Zebras ;)Flamingos. No pink? I showed Jared the picture here and he said "it must be because it's winter and their feathers lose the pink color in the winter." Smart thinking Jared, trying to think of a good reason why no pink ;)Cheetah, or "kitty cat!" as the girlies called him/her ;)Suzan, taking a "stroller" break. We used our big quad stroller at the zoo. Needless to say, we got ANY and EVERY person stopping us, either about the stroller, if the girls were different ages or the same and if they were 2 sets of twins or quadruplets. Ha!Brielle, shades and all, watching the "kitty cat"BethanyAnna PieSuzan watching the 4 African Wild Dogs pace around their pen. Turns out the 4 Dogs are quadruplets too (a zoo keeper told us that, as he stopped me asking if the girlies were quadruplets, as he is a triplet). How funny!Mhorr's GazelleBaboonAwe! The baby Koala, 2.5yo just like the girlies :)Mama. She must be taking a rest break from Koala kid care. I TOTALLY understand Mama Koala ;)KangarooKettle Corn snack time! Suz

Thanks for the sweet comments ladies! Margo, we missed you there then! Whoops! ;)

Anon, as far as telling Anna and Bethnay apart, I can tell (as mama) by their faces, the way they carry themselves, their walk and even by the way they talk or their voices sound. I know that sounds strange and funny ;) For others that don't know them that well, we always say "there's a freckle on Anna's side or Bethany has a freckle right above her upper lip." That and Bethany has a weird upper tooth ;) We'll usually put Anna in her color, e.g. "pink," too. What do you mean? You can't tell them apart?!?! Just kidding ;)

Love the girls Thanksgiving themed shirts! Did you make them?

The Carlsons said...

Jen, yes I did make the girlies shirts :) Thanks! They were super easy to make. Just find some cute fabrics at Joanns, cut out the design, iron on some adhesive to the back of the fabrics, iron them onto the shirt and then sew!
