Seven!

Yes, Paul and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! It has been a fun seven years. Lots of growth and change has happened for us, some of it good and some of it not so good. We praise God for His blessing on us, to be married to one another, and pray that we continue to grow as a Godly husband and wife!

We also spent some vacation and celebrating time in Sedona. It was much needed and was a good getaway for us. Check out our website, under "Wedding Anniversaries" and "Seventh" for more pics of the trip.

Here are some crazy facts on "7"...

I pay!

Okay, yet another very cute story about Jared :) (this story was related to me by Paul)

Yesterday evening I went out for dinner with a friend. So Paul and Jared decided to go have pancakes for dinner. Before heading out Jared grabbed some paper "money" (fake, from his Busy Bible) and said to Paul "Dada, you not pay for dinner. I pay." Huh? Okay. Sure. So they went out and ate pancakes. When they were all done and ready to go pay Jared said to Paul "I pay." Paul said "Okay," not knowing what would happen next. Jared then dug deep into his jeans pocket and pulled out one paper bill. He placed in on the counter next to the register. Paul said "Thanks for paying for dinner Jared!" and then Jared retrieved his "change" (or the bill from the counter). Awe! How cute is that? He has such a sweet, kind and generous heart!

Next time we're out to dinner with you, Jared's paying ;)

Mama, God made the fish

Lately, Jared's been reading in his Busy Bible (it's so cool! - excellent for learning and very hands on). So when we came home from church yesterday, Jared started reading it when all of a sudden he said "Mama, God made the fish." He was looking at the page on when Peter fished with Jesus. I said "Yes, he did Jared." I then asked him "Who made Dada?" "God did," he answered. "Who made Mama?" "God." It so cool and amazing to see him talk about God and Jesus!

Who are these monkeys??

Jared and I went to the Phoenix Zoo today. I think this makes it our fourth trip to the zoo since Jared has been born. This time we went with our friends the Murphys (Karen, Grace and Ryan) and the Hasteys (Kim, Owen and Seth). The "big kids" had fun looking at all of the animals...giraffes, monkeys, rhinos, tigers, birds like the Macaw. I think Jared especially enjoyed going through the monkey exhibit. You get to walk around while these cute little monkeys climb around in the trees and on ropes. At one time, a monkey walked on a rope right over our heads. Very cool!
