Moo Juice?

Last evening at our church group gathering, a friend of ours asked Jared the following (we were having pink frosted cookies and milk as treats for the group):

"Jared, where does milk come from?"

Jared's response?

"The grocery store."

Paul then said "Yup, that's a city kid for ya." HA! I think that is a good (and VERY cute) answer Jared! :)

Wacky Weather!!

Okay, how often does it SNOW in Arizona? And I'm talking about snow in the DESERT, not mountains? All weekend we've been having some wacky weather here, cold temps, rain, etc. Well today topped it all off, snow here in the Valley! They got snow in Scottsdale, hail and sleet in Mesa and Phoenix and we saw cold rain in Chandler. Jared and I had frozen faces just from walking around our neighborhood this afternoon. Brrr! We also had highways closed due to snow.

Here's a link to an article on our wacky weather and some snow pictures taken by folks from around the Valley. How's that for wacky weather?

Neither rain nor hail nor sleet nor snow nor heat of day nor dark of night shall keep this boy from the joy of playing outside on his grounds

Despite it being cold (47 degrees) and rainy today, Jared wanted to play outside. So, thanks to the raincoat Grammy Carlson gave Jared a while ago, he was able to play in the backyard. He had fun jumping in the puddles, shaking the rain off of his umbrella at his play table and pushing his mower around (what a die hard mower he is ;) ).

There are more pictures of this cutie rain boy at our website, under "Jared" and "The Twos."

A New Year

We pray that all of you had a blessed Christmas and a safe New Year's. Ours was very good! Christmas was spent at home in AZ. It was fun to see Jared's joy and excitement for Christmas this year! He's already having fun watching the "Cars" movie we got him and the Veggie Tales DVDs that Grampy and Grammy Carlson gave him. We had friends and family over for Christmas dinner. We didn't stay up late for the New Year. Although, I think I heard fireworks going off probably around midnight :) We did celebrate my birthday by having friends and family over for some fun!

It's already 2007! We can't believe it! This year will bring lots for us...we'll celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary in February!, Jared will turn 3 in March!! and we have a trip to North Dakota in June to see Paul's brother, Michael, be wed to Samara! And I'm sure the Lord has much more planned for us this next year!

Hope you look forward to a new year this year!
